The attachment mechanism is woven directly into the rope itself via a galvanized steel "thimble eye". This feature provides the absolute best in terms of security and durability. Rope Fit's climbing ropes come with a smaller chain that loops through the metal thimble eye, then the chain wraps around the anchoring station. It is then connected with a safety latch. All of these accessories included with your rope. There is little or no wear and tear on the rope material since the steel thimble eye takes the brunt of the friction, not the rope. This will dramatically increase the life expectancy of your climbing rope. Most other companies just splice one end and you make a knot through your anchor point. The rope will grind against the metal i beam or pipe and will start to fray in a relatively short period of time.
